2023 ANNUAL REPORT

Our Commitment

Paint the Globe Foundation fosters human potential through art literacy, education and shared resources.

Through contributions from our donors, supply drives, fundraising events and partnerships, we gather much-needed arts/crafts and feminine hygiene supplies. The art and school supplies are directly distributed locally and internationally to schools, community centers and similar organizations where they are used to jumpstart art programs and activities that promote creativity and art literacy. The feminine hygiene supplies are distributed as means to empower women and young girls, challenge period taboos and stand up to discrimination in communities.

Our Impact

2023 marked a milestone year for Paint the Globe Foundation, expanding our impact through innovative artistic, educational, and wellness programs and our largest contribution to date, touching the lives of over 187 vulnerable women and children across Thailand and Mongolia.

Chiang Mai, Thailand: Healing Through Art & Wellness

March 2023 - In partnership with the HUG Project Thailand, Paint the Globe Foundation expanded its impact in 2023 by introducing innovative healing approaches for child survivors of abuse and trafficking. This groundbreaking collaboration marked our first integration of holistic wellness practices alongside our established art therapy programs.

Key Achievements:

  • Conducted therapeutic art workshops for 18 children (ages 6-17)

  • Launched new yoga and meditation programs in partnership with Yours Truly, Holistic Health and Wellness

  • Distributed comprehensive wellness and hygiene supplies to support young women and girls

  • Provided each child with take-home art supplies and educational materials

The project's success went beyond material support, creating safe spaces for creative expression and healing. Through mask-making workshops, children found new ways to explore their identities and emotions. The introduction of yoga and meditation, led by wellness expert Vicky Tay, gave these young survivors valuable tools for managing trauma and building resilience.

National Art Auction Fundraiser and Craft Beer Release.
Oak Park, Sacramento.

May 2023 marked a significant milestone with our third annual national art auction fundraiser in partnership with Oak Park Brew Co. This unique collaboration culminated in the release of the Paint the Globe Belgian Golden Strong Ale, featuring a creative twist that brought together art and community engagement.

Event Highlights:

  • Theme: "Change by Design. Thinking this world into a better place"

  • National artist participation with submissions from across the country

  • Six winning artists featured on custom beer labels

  • Successful integration of art auction with craft beer release

  • Third consecutive year of this innovative fundraising model

The funds raised through this creative initiative directly supported our largest contribution to date: our transformative project in Mongolia. This successful fundraising campaign demonstrated how community engagement through art and innovation can create tangible change across borders.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia: Empowering Communities Through Sustainable Support

June 2023 - Thanks to the success of our "Change by Design" fundraiser, our partnership with Flourishing Future Mongolia marked Paint the Globe Foundation's 5th anniversary with unprecedented reach. In a country where 27.8% of the population lives in poverty, our targeted approach addressed critical needs while fostering creative expression and educational development.

Project Reach:

  • Supported 65 at-risk women with essential hygiene and household supplies

  • Provided art and educational materials to benefit 72 orphaned children

  • Equipped teaching staff with resources for sustained educational impact

The Mongolia initiative specifically addressed the challenges faced by women and children in underserved communities. By providing a year's supply of essential products and materials, we created sustainable impact while addressing immediate needs. Our art workshops offered crucial outlets for expression and development for children affected by family separation and economic hardship.

Impact Metrics:

  • 137 total direct beneficiaries

  • Year-long supply of educational and art materials distributed

  • Comprehensive hygiene and household supplies provided to women ages 18-65+
